Mud Fest 2016 is a celebration of our National Earth Building Day, 20th August. Find out about our intriguing and forgotten earth building culture by taking part in one of our seven Earth Building UK and Ireland (EBUKI) Workshops in Cork, Dublin, Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim, Sligo and Tipperary.

Get your hands and feet mucky while getting to grips with the ancient skill of building with earth.

Ger Cussen

Ger comes from a contract teaching background. She always loved Wexford’s thatch houses/mud houses and began researching cob about 8 years ago. She has worked with local restoration builders and local lime experts in Wexford, as well as with the ‘new’ cob builders in Cork and Clare. Currently she teaches workshops building clay ovens and garden features/compost toilets, and works at local craft fairs to bring awareness back to this amazing local resource.
